“World of Tower Rock” - still render image from animated matte painting sequence.
Foreground elements are modeled and textured in Maya, integrated with 2D elements painted in Photoshop and Painter.
Final stage was, to composite all 3D and 2D elements, with shadows and lighting together in After Effects, which is finally becomes animated matte painting.

This image was created in May 2007, as original matte painting, before creating animation sequence. My inspiration to create this Matte painting comes back from my student hood at Glebov Art Institute in 1990, after I wisited exhebition
In Jan 2007 I was filming different places around Toronto, idea was to create, matte painting swequence composited with filmed footage, which is I filmed at Mount Pleasant Bridge I was inspired by Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming, USA
